The REAL Drivers of the ESL Kyle Storm

The REAL Drivers of the ESL Kyle Storm

Next up in our series: Kyle Storm, Co-Owner Low Fuel Racing, SLM driver #81

AA – Kyle, thanks for taking time out to answer a few questions. First up, I understand that you’ve been racing pretty much your whole life. How did you get started and how old were you when you ran your first race?
KS – I’ve attended races all my life. First time experiencing the race car life, I was 10 years old. Race cars were basically a family business for us at the time.

AA – Are there any other series you’ve been involved in, or have you always been a SLM driver?
KS – We always ran mainly Late Models. Occasionally, we’ll drop to a lower series just to have a good time.

AA – I know nothing compare to the real thing, but do you get a little excited before a Sim race? How does it compare to the rush before a real race?
KS – Absolutely. I’m always excited for a race.

AA – Are there some tracks (or maybe just one or two of the turns of a track) on the Sim circuit that bring back bad (or good) memories?
KS – I’d have to say turn 2 at Richmond. You can carry only so much speed off the corner, if you drift too high, or push off exit you’ll knock the wall down.

AA – What advice would you give an up and coming driver, or some kid who dreams of being a real driver?
KS – Just do it. You’ll miss every shot you don’t take.

AA – In your experience as a SLM driver, what improvements (or changes) would you like to see in our Sim that in your opinion, would enhance the SLM Sim?
KS – I think I’d like to see more Rookies in the series.
